OMH Main Characters

Okay, the main characters in the story really are Lori and Nora. Them aside, Mitch and Adeline just happen to be the ones I've put the most thought into. I realised that it's probably best just to envision the characters as having their actors' VOICES rather than doing what I did with WwL and putting myself through this ridiculous pressure to make them look exactly like their actors.

Lori is just Lori - I've drawn her a few other times, so you've all seen her before. Her sidecut does look really ginger here, but it's because she's a natural strawberry blonde rather than the sort of light brunette I've drawn her as in the past. Also, I've taken to drawing her with her nose pierced, and I like it, so it's staying.

Mitch turned out looking like George fucking Clooney or something I think it might just be the way his face looks, but I struggled a bit with making him look old enough (mind you, he is only about 20 years older than Lori, who's in her early 40's.) He does look quite similar to the way I drew him in my mind, though - it's just how posed he looks/ I'm working on a HUUUUGE piece about him and Lori, which he's obviously in a lot, so having his face nailed down is kinda important. I originally pictured both him and Lori as wearing glasses, but I can't draw that for shit, so out that went. He also looked more like Woody Harrleson in my original ideas (shaved head and stubble - that kind of thing) but I thought the overgrown Marines cut suited better. 

And Adeline...I love how she turned out, but she doesn't exactly look the way she's meant to - she's from Korea, and while I think I did okay on her features, she does still look almost Hawaiian. Well, practice makes perfect, I guess She is also quite tomboyish, though not as much as Lori
