FIELD WITHDRAWL

Resigned from fieldwork - 17.01.1998
Officially retired from fieldwork - 13.02.1998
Reasons behind resignation - Injury and asthma complications, substandard physical evaluation results, PTSD and pathological authority rejection
Additional notes - A mission gone wrong in in Rene, France in November of 1996 led to the incapacitation and subsequent torture of Cameron by long-standing MI6 target, drug overlord Camille Delacoiré. Despite alert of her capture having been sent out three days previously by one-off counterpart Lionel Chappel, a medical evac team only turned up by the time Cameron had slipped into comatose due to excessive loss of blood. She spent 17 days in an ICU, then a further several months in a private ward in a specialist orthopaedic hospital, suffering from multiple femoral and tibial  fractures to her right leg, and multiple gunshot wounds to her upper left leg and both arms, all of which required a collective 77 invasive surgeries, and years of corrective physiotherapy. Cameron spent the next six moths confined to a wheelchair, and a further eighteen months unable to walk unaided.
Cameron formally stepped down from her position as a senior active agent under duress in the January of 1998 and was officially struck off the list of agents fit for active service in February of the same year. She was declared unfit for active duty following a multitude of tests, specialists citing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; pathological rejection of authority based on unnecessary emotional and physical turmoil; a failed physical evaluation due to complications with her shattered left kneecap, and age-related complications with severe lifelong asthma.
She was reassigned a post working as secretary of staff in May of 1998, which she was promoted from to a position heading an MI6 base in Hong Kong in August of the same year, which she promptly resigned following the death of close friend and colleague Tiana Rodriguez. Following several months off to grieve and ponder retirement, Cameron eventually returned to MI6 in early 2000 as Chief of Staff, a position which she held until her 2014 retirement.
Cameron's refusal in the face of unmeasurable suffering to surrender vital government information to her captor earned her an MBE, which was presented to her in 1998. She was described by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in a public speech as "An exemplar of British fortitude; a true heroine and inspiration to us all." She was offered a place on the 2000 Paralympic swim team, and the honour of bearing the Queen's Baton for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, both of which she declined.
The incident that led to her injuries brought about a complete inquest into MI6 procedure regarding the arrest or unlawful capture of agents. The heavily publicised trial led to the disciplinary hearing and temporary suspension of MI6 commander Dame Olivia Hargreaves, otherwise known as C, whose lack of urgency and seeming inability to follow emergency protocol resulted in Cameron's torture.

I typed up one of these for each of the main 3 of Waltzing with Lucifer - this is Evelyn's, and Olivia's and Tiana's are on the way. This is mainly for my own reference, but I thought others could probably use it.

As someone who all but lives around legal documents, I must say you have the language style down pat. Very well done!
